TAM Phone Screen Interview Process

Step 1: Scheduling the Meeting


UpTurnships uses Calendly to schedule meetings between the applicants and the interviewers. You can view this article for help with this: Using Calendly

You will receive a confirmation email from Calendly when an applicant has been assigned to you, with the date and time for the meeting. You will need to confirm that this time works for you, and then determine if the meeting will be via phone or video chat. The applicant will receive a similar notification, and a reminder 24 hours prior to the meeting.

It is up to you as the interviewer to communicate any changes to the applicant. 


Within a couple days of the meeting being scheduled, you should also receive an email containing a unique link to the Interview Guide for that applicant.

Do not click the link and submit the form until you have conducted the interview.

Step 2: Conducting the Interview

Prior to the interview: 

  • Login to TAM and navigate to the applicant's record. You can learn how to do this here: TAM Interviewer Access.
  • Find the email from the previous step with the Interview Guide link and prepare to complete the guide.
  • Review the applicant's record in TAM, including their resume, application pre-screening questions, photo, etc. 
Resource: Download the Word Version of the Interview Guide (You'll still want to submit this via the web form).

During the Interview: 

  • Ask the questions from the Interview Guide and write down the applicant's answers. TIP: You can type directly into the Interview Guide form, or you can open up a Word doc and type them there and then copy and paste back into the form after the interview has been completed.
  • Thank the applicant for their time, and then complete the remaining Interview Guide questions, and submit the form.
